Purpose And Mission Of Parkway's Green Solutions

Parkway understands the delicate balance between people, pests, and their environment.

The purpose and mission of Parkway Green Pest Solutions is to promote the delicate balance between people, pests, an effective pest management program and the environment. Our goal is a sound and healthy environment and we strive to achieve this in the following manners:

Knowledge and Education - Parkway Green Pest Solutions practices and understands Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles. Parkway can identify important pests and describe their life cycles, habits and the conditions that effect their environment. We are constantly striving to stay up to date with the latest findings and pest control techniques.

Monitoring and Inspection - It is through monitoring and inspection that Parkway determines what pest populations exist and the conditions that justify their existence.

Action Only When Necessary - Parkway uses a non-chemical approach to pest control. Through monitoring and inspection we will determine when action is necessary. If a pesticide is needed, Parkway will evaluate the hazards to health, the environment and beneficial organisms. We will then use only Green Shield Certified Products. Sometimes structural and maintenance problems contribute to the existence of the pest problem. Parkway will make recommendations for any corrective measures to be pursued by the owner or occupant.

Documentation - Parkway will document all inspections and monitoring results. This will justify the use of pesticides and their use and location will be duly noted.

Continuous Improvement - Parkway constantly stays on the cutting edge of new IPM techniques, concepts and any changes in the pest control industry. We are second to none in proven pest control technologies.

Communication and Outreach - Parkway strives to disseminate all pertinent information in the field of pest control to its customers and abides by posting any notification requirements to the surrounding individuals.

A Green Shield Certified Pest Control Company

Parkway Green Pest Solutions welcomes you to our Green Shield Certified program, where we work hard to protect you, your family, your neighbors and the environment. By truly understanding the concept of Green Pest Solutions and adhering to its principles, you and Parkway can create a pest free environment with little to no use of pesticides. Parkway uses chemical only when absolutely necessary and will only use Green Shield Certified products.

To begin with, inspection and monitoring is the key to this Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program. Parkway’s technicians are fully trained in the pest areas related to Green Shield Certification. It is the duty of the technician to inspect and observe all prevalent areas where pests enter, hide, feed and reproduce. It is from these inspections and monitoring that an IPM plan is developed to eliminate your pest problem. The technician will make recommendations for corrective measures in the form of exclusion methods, sanitary conditions, structural defects, landscaping changes, water conditions, the use of pesticides, etc. Please be aware that the use of Green Pest Solutions sometimes does not offer immediate results. It may, at times, be necessary to reevaluate the problem to adjust the treatment procedures and methods to achieve proper control. In the event that you are not completely satisfied with the services offered by Parkway Green Pest Control Solutions, Parkway will revisit, re-inspect and attempt to resolve the problem at no additional cost. If we are unable to meet your expectations, you may cancel the remainder of your service agreement without penalty.

Parkway Green Pest Solutions is the most advanced green pest control program available. Through the Green Shield Certified Institute, Parkway will remain on the cutting edge of the latest IPM techniques and utilize the most innovative technology within the green pest control field. We are available to service your pest control needs through education, cooperation and understanding of the pest organism we are attempting to control. Parkway has an in-house entomologist, board certified by the Entomological Society of America, available for consultation when the need arises. Thank you for allowing Parkway the opportunity to service your green pest control needs.

Advantages Of Using Parkway's IPM Program

There are many benefits to using an IPM program. Some of them include:

  • It is environmentally sound. The amount of pesticide is minimal compared to a conventional spray program. The focus is on baiting and monitoring.
  • Baits last longer than conventional sprays and are non-repellant. The only way they are toxic is by ingestion.
  • There is no indoor air pollution. This program will in no way contribute to “sick building syndrome.”
  • There are no health worries. This program will not affect those that are very young, have allergies, or any condition that can be aggravated by inhalation of chemical vapors.
  • It is safe around high tech equipment. The solid bait cannot damage computers, fax machines, lab equipment, telephones, microwaves, or any other sophisticated equipment.
  • The quality of the work place environment is enhanced. Eliminating pests without contaminating the work place with pesticides makes for a happier, healthier work place.
  • Worker and occupant involvement is available upon request so that the program can become a practical learning experience.
  • There is reduced liability. Safety is maximized, therefore everyone benefits.

On our regularly scheduled visits we will identify specific areas in your building where pests are likely to occur. These areas are typically food service areas, restrooms, mop closets, trash areas, break or coffee areas, basements and any area where there is ample shelter and moisture. We will monitor these areas visually and/or with sticky traps.

We will only use a control agent when we find physical evidence of pests or someone in the building reports the sighting of a pest.

Most pests can be controlled with odorless, vaporless baits that we know to be frequented by target pests. The baits can be safely applied during normal working hours without causing any discomfort to the occupants.
