Great News, Westchester - We Now Provide Wildlife Services!

raccoons in westchester
|

If you have taken a bag of garbage out your back door, only to come face to face with a raccoon sitting atop one of your trash cans, then you may be interested in wildlife control. If you have the lovely smell of skunks wafting out from beneath your porch, then you may be interested in wildlife control. If you have seen a family of squirrels squeezing through a hole in your roofline into your attic, then you may be… Well, you know. The bad news is, wild animals are continuing to invade Westchester yards and homes. But the good news is, there is help to be found!

Here at Parkway Pest Services, we understand the habits and habitats of wild animals, and we understand just how destructive these wild critters can be. Raccoons and skunks can strew garbage all over your lawn. Birds can leave nasty droppings on your walkways and window ledges. Valuable attic insulation can be torn and destroyed by invading squirrels and other rodents. (Not to mention the fact that animals in your wall voids can chew on electrical wires, presenting a fire hazard.) Yes, wildlife pests in your home or yard can pose any number of problems. But there are some things you can do to discourage them.

  • Seal up all openings on the outside of your home.
  • Pay attention to areas where utilities go into your building, items such as air conditioners, wires and pipes.
  • Repair broken basement windows and warped doors.
  • Make sure all screens and door sweeps are in good repair.
  • Install insect screening over vents and chimneys.
  • Check all shingles to make sure they are tight, and that sheathing is complete.
  • Place all garbage in tightly sealed containers, and store these containers in the garage, if possible.
  • Store firewood away from your home and keep it up off the ground.
  • Consider removing bird feeders, or place them well away from your home and other buildings.
  • Keep your home clean, clutter-free and free from food particles and water sources for invading pests.

But if wildlife pests have already invaded, we can help. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, wildlife manages to invade anyway. And it is never a good idea to try to get rid of wild animals on your own. Animals carry bacteria and parasites that can cause illness and disease. Bites can cause rabies. And any cornered or threatened animal can inflict injury to your family, your pets, or your home, even a cute little squirrel.

Here at Parkway Services we specialize in animal trapping and control, bat and bird proofing, bird netting installation and other bird deterrents, wildlife exclusion, and animal damage repair. Don't take chances with wild animals, let our wildlife experts at take care of them. Parkway, it's the Smart Way.
